Over the last decade, the U.S. has been at the forefront of hospitality technology. From mobile ordering and self-service kiosks to AI-powered guest personalization, we’ve seen innovation reshape how hospitality businesses operate. Recently, however, I’ve found myself looking outside of our borders for inspiration, and what’s happening in Saudi Arabia right now deserves our attention.

According to a March 2025 ResearchAndMarkets.com report, a growing middle class, an increase in tourism, cross-industry collaboration toward digitization, government support for the food industry and a changing eating culture that emphasizes variety and speed are all factors contributing to the success of the Saudi Arabian restaurant sector.
